How to Remove Folders from Libraries in Windows 7
By Internet Handholding @ 1:41 PM :: 925 Views :: 0 Comments :: Article Rating :: Windows

In Windows 7 on the left side of the explorer under Desktop is a Libraries folder.

You create your own libraries and then add folders to your libraries.

This is a way to let you quickly navigate to related items.

When you add a folder to a library, the contents of your folder are displayed.

If you do not want the contents displayed DO NOT DELETE them from the library. Deleting from libraries is a real delete and sends your items to the recyle bin.

What you need to do is REMOVE from the library the top level folder that contained the files and folders displayed in your library.

There are at least three ways to remove the source folder.

1. Right click on the library. Select properties. Highlight the source folder and click remove.

2. Right click on the source folder underneath the library and click remove from library.

3. In the library view (in the right window pane), click the link underneath the title of the library says Include: n location.
