If you use Gmail for sending out your newsletter, you may have your outgoing email rejected by Gmail as spam.

You may get your email back with a message like this.

Subject: Delivery Status Notification (Failure)

Delivery to the following recipient failed permanently:
Technical details of permanent failure:
Message rejected. See
http://mail.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?answer=69585
for more information.

If you follow the link, Gmail explains that your outgoing email message looked like spam to Gmail.

Gmail has a limit to how many people you can send to at one time, how many you can send per day and they may have other limits, such as per hour.

You could set up a second Gmail account and split up your list.

Another problem is when Gmail rejects sending to only some of the people speciifed.

Gmail cannot see if the people you are sending to have added you to their contact list.

However, Gmail can see if those people have emailed you, so have the person send you a message. I do not know if Gmail tracks this, but you can try it to see if it solves Gmail rejecting you sending email to that person as part of a list.

You can find a list of Email marketing list services here.
